I mean, I like Death to the Daleks (certainly more than poor old Monstery Peladon) but...

That would be a good title for PS audio. Lol

To be honest, I like all of them a lot. Even Peladon.
I know S11 isn't massively regarded, but my soft spot extends to pretty much all of it, so there'll be no losers for me. :-)

All of these stories are among my favourites, although Peladon was the weakest of the bunch. Loads of nostalgia here for this season, there were several 'firsts' for me...like I said before, my first experience of a new title sequence, my first new companion (although I could vaguely remember Liz Shaw, at that time it just felt as if Jo Grant had always been there), my first regeneration and the total surprise at seeing dinosaurs when they first appeared. The dodgy effects meant nothing to me at that time! I honestly don't know which story I want to win here so I'm just trying to keep things tight and see what happens...but like you guys I'm surprised that Spiders looks to be going out before Daleks (although I have a soft spot for that too because it was my first Doctor Who VHS)

Spiders is my personal favourite, but I accept that that my nostalgic affection for it allows me to glaze over some significant flaws. I usually ff through the long chase sequence. Lol

The chase sequence is the biggest problem with that story! Like many Pertwee-era stories it would have probably benefitted from being an episode shorter. However you can allow them a little bit of indulgence seeing as it was their last story...and they obviously had fun doing it!
