Last Season 24 Story Standing
We reach the last original series Doctor now, with the arrival of fellow Scot Sylvester McCoy as the Doctor. As usual, normal rules apply...one vote per person per day, vote a story up or down for one week then negative voting only begins in one week Wednesday 29th July

It's a tough choice between TATR and Paradise Towers! Although I know there's a lot of love for these stories round here, for many of us who grew up with Pertwee and Baker the series was fast becoming a travesty by this point...

What makes it all the worse for me is that McCoy comes from my neck of the woods, Dunoon isn't far from me, and I would just have loved to see the first Scottish doctor get much better material to work with...

I'd agree with Wayne that Season 24 was the worst season of Doctor Who, but my opinions on some of the individual stories has gone through a complete 360 change since first viewing and one specific story has become quite a favourite of mine.

Those two are my bottom two stories, period. Not even the worst of the new series stories left me feeling like walking away from the series for good like the start of the McCoy era did...but BBC video came to the rescue!

To add to the conversation, I've always had a slight soft spot for this season because it was the first I could video & watch over & over. However BBC video damaged it for me, only because as of the start of the 90's I had past stories to compare this season to & it suffered for that comparrison.
