Well that was quite a tough round for me. I like Survival but consider it the least enjoyable story of the season, I love Battlefield despite clear faults whilst Ghost Light and Curse of Fenric are amazing examples of some of the best stories latter day classic who had on offer. I'd probably go with Curse as the best of the season but felt bad about all negative votes for this one.

My feelings are similar to Paul's. I find Survival the weakest, and whilst I wouldn't say I 'love' Battlefield, I find it enjoyable enough to overlook its faults. Jean Marsh's wonderfully icy performance as Morgaine is a big plus point.
As for the other two; Whilst I don't regard Fenric quite as highly as many; I'd probably concede that it's slightly better than Ghost Light. There's not much in it for me; as I've come to appreciate Ghost Light a lot more in recent years, and I wouldn't have minded if either of these two stories won the round.

I had a fantastic "Was that it?" during Season 26. I enjoyed the previous season more. Of course if I knew then that was it, would have made more of it. You don't know what you had til it's etc.
Surprised to see Survival go first. Memories of babysitting. Memories of London visits. Memories of that exhibition that had the space launch ride.
    Well played all.

I always though Fenric would win it, although I love the atmosphere of Ghost Light. These are 2 of my 3 favourite McCoy-era stories so I'm happy. Survival is the weakest of the bunch, but this is easily the best season of McCoy's tenure.

CoF for me is where McCoy's Doctor got it right all the way. Battlefield and Survival are solid, if silly, stories. But Ghost is the classic example of too much cut away in the edit (both screen & script) that it becomes incomprehensible. As fans we know what the story was trying to say/do, but only in hindsight. As I had video'ed this season I was able to watch it repeatedly & never really got to grips with GL.
