We’re nearly there - the pain is almost over! Welcome to Day 21. Today it’s the Target novelisation chapter title mash-up! Which story are these garbled chapter headings from:-

There's a disconcerting number of verbs ,and a general lack of The in there.....

Welcome to Day 22! Did you think you’d escaped the Only Connect-style music round? Well think again

I want the name of the songs, and the spurious connection that links the song titles. At least there’s no time limit

Morning! Ooh yesterday was fiendish Let’s have a look at those song titles:-

    Right Said FRED (Quilley)
    (Hawaiian) BALLROOM Blitz
    JOE (Maplin) Le Taxi

    Yep HI-DE-HI was the connection

Well done to Jon Masters for submitting the only correct answer! You’re on my wavelength Jon - what a scary thought

And so here we are Day 24 - the final day. Most of you have survived with your sanity intact - well done!

So the last question ….. can you identify this actress

Answer will be given on Boxing Day along with the final scores.

Thanks all for taking part this year - it’s good to be back

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

Well, I will only be submitting a guess. She looks familiar but I just can't be 100% sure.

I would like to Echo what Si and Jon have said. Thank you Dave, for the effort you put in to this each year. It really is a December highlight.

So here we go then …. mention in dispatches for Jonno and Kenny for dipping in and out when they could - thanks for dropping by!

In 5th place with 20 points it’s Andrew Curnow.

In 4th place well done to Jon Masters with 29 points.

There’s a tie for 3rd and 2nd place with 31 points each …. it’s Si Hart and Duncan! Well done boys - we need to agree a date and time for the tie-breaker!

Which means that in 1st place with a point more than Si & Duncan …. many congrats to Richard with 32 points A very closely fought contest this year!

Wow! I genuinely didn't expect to win this year!

Well done to everyone for taking and thanks so much as ever to Dave for all your hard work.

This has been a very welcome return, especially of all the old favourites such as the two story mash up, the target covers, the Frankenstein face including dear old Leslie Crowther, and the Only Connect music round.

I will certainly be back to play again next year against such worthy opponents and a wonderfully devious quiz master!
