I did want to like it more than I did. Appreciated the Midnight vibes. The threat was quite good. Never fully explained. That's good. Might get into it more when all three episodes shown. It was a breathing in episode as opposed to exhale for all you're worth episode.

Decent enough, but it took a while to get going.
6/10

Better than the previous episode. You can tell there's Disney Dollars being spent.
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

Doctor Who in "rewatching improves things" shocker. Wish I'd voted it higher.
And just as it's getting going it's stopping until Christmas Day! But at least we're closer to new Who constantly than the previous years.
Also, Anniversary stories I feel, can only be successfully done in one dedicated episode. As opposed to spread along three weeks.
Tonights (!!!) episode might bring in the anniversary slack. Or not.
I don't think it's that much of a deal breaker considering the launch of the Whoniverse has softened a lot of blows.
As the hours slowly creep along...

I gave it 8/10. I nearly gave it 9. I really quite liked it; the idea of a slow bomb was good, the Midnight vibe was noticable & just as well done.
The Interactions between the Doctor/Donna & the 'creatures' was well acted. The whole premis was not unique but was different enough to hold my attention through out. Really rather pleased. Shame it lacked anything remotely '60th anniversary' about it. I guess just the idea of 3 "returning Doctor face" stories is the 60th.
P.S. Oh, and what the hell was all that savity, havity, MAVITY! bollox!? And when is all that supposed to be sorted? Or am I supposed to be saying mavity now?Last edited by Dirk Gently; 11th Dec 2023 at 9:16 PM.
