You mean you've only just heard? This has been in the planning for years. I'm looking forward to it, as long as it's done right. It'll b eset in the 1950s probably.

Trouble is, it's taken so long for them to make it that the setting keeps having to move forward to take account of Harrison Ford's age...

Not at all i've known about this for some time now what I ment is that having had 3 fantastic films i'm not sure it's a good idea to be making another film.

    Great recent quotes from Harrison...

"I'm delighted to be back in business with my old friends. I don't know if the pants still fit but I know the hat will."

"If Steven Spielberg and George Lucas tried to replace me, first I'd tell them to go f*** themselves. Then I'd kill them!"

    Top man!

I think he'd probably have to change his colostomy bag before killing them. Or even standing up. Indy IV is, I fear, something terrible... it's like Die Hard 4.0 but worse. Or even more horrific, like bringing the Master back into Doctor Who instead of creating something new and exciting....

I'm quietly convincing myself that this will be superb.
But then I remember the disappointment of the Star Wars prequels and suspect that I'll be agreeing with Dave.

This is as much Spielberg, so I expect things to be different...

So by that reckoning, does this mean that the new film will be set in 1956?

I love the Indiana Jones films, and I always feel that three is a nice number to round off any series of movies. I don't particularly feel that they need to make another one, but, fingers crossed, it will be every bit as fantastic as the originals.

Ray Winstone is a sh*t actor!

Will there be a role for Calista Flockhart?

Will there be a role for Calista Flockhart?

Karen Allen, Kate Capshaw & Alison Doody are supposed to be reprising their roles.

I heard about Allen and Capshaw, but Alison Doody seems unlikely as the character was a villian and she died at the end of "The last crusade".

Tell you what though, it would have been good to see Short round as a grown man. Probably won't happen though. I think the apparant absence of Sallah is a bad move too.

I'm so ridiculously excited about this film.
I'm guessing its set in the 50's because the kid from Transformers is wearing a rock n roll style leather jacket. Ray Winstone's costume is odd though.

And there's lots of speculation at the moment about the number on the crate that appears on teh opening page of the official website. (the one Carol's posted above)
Apparently the number is the same as the number assigned to the Ark at the end of Raiders but with the final two numbers switched round.
    What could it all mean?
