    Default The Doctor had a brother? Speculation but possible Spoiler,

    I'm starting a new thread for this as I wanted to be able to discuss it freely. I have added a spoiler warning even though I don't actually know anything. In fact I barely know anything at all about this new series, I couldn't even tell you the name of the next episode!

    Anyway, the Doctor mentioned having once had a brother. Could his brother still be alive? Could his 'brother' have a rather sinister chuckle?

    How exciting!

    although the new series has had at least one throwaway reference to The Doctor's family before... this may be the same, or it may have more significance.

    I think this is just a throw away line used to remind us that the Doctor had a family, and his own people, but now is on his own. If he finds a planet where his family are all alive and well and waiting for him, I will be first on here saying "WORST ... EPISODE ... EVER!!!".

    "Here's your new companion, your great-grandson called Wesley and he knows more about science than you, and will be saving the day most episodes from here on", said Susan.

    "Is he now? Come here Wesley, lets go visit this frieghter full of cybermen heading to Earth hey?"

    This could be a spoiler, but I don't anything so don't blame me. And I'm really awful with spoilers. I heard somewhere that there was plans during the old series to make the Master the Doctor's brother. Sibling rivalry, one kid got all the love, I dunno. With the Master coming back, do you think the old plot could be coming into fruition?
